What is CTRN?

The Canadian Transfusion Research Network (CTRN) serves as a unique platform for collaborative clinical trials in Transfusion Medicine. CTRN is a collaboration of clinicians, nurses, researchers, Transfusion Medicine staff, policy-makers, blood suppliers, patient representatives and trainees. The mandate of CTRN is to advance Transfusion Medicine practices through collaborative clinical trials across a range of medical and surgical populations. Our current focus is on acute leukemia, a high mortality cancer and the most common indication for blood transfusion in Canada.
